Mai Chau is a district in Hoa Binh province located 135km southwest of Hanoi. It comprises a small town surrounded by quaint villages, home to White Thai, H’mong, Muong and Tay ethnic people.

The key appeal of Mai Chau lies in its idyllic landscape of a verdant valley wrapped by mountains and clouds. Towering peaks, lush rice fields, purely fresh air and emerald forest, Mai Chau makes an ideal place to get closer to the nature.

Although most tribal people in Mai Chau no longer wear traditional costumes in daily life, they still keep their ancient culture alive. The way they build their stilt houses, the way they cultivate rice on paddies flooded by streams and water wheels, and the way they raise fish in small ponds near their homes, all remain unchanged.

With picturesque scenery and endearing culture, Mai Chau makes a fantastic destination to escape the city bustle, and to live a relaxed and happy life amongst a splendid natural setting.

Day 02	Hanoi full day city tour Full-day tour of Vietnam’s capital city with guide, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his traditional stilt house, the One-Pillar Pagoda, and the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature also known as the First University of Vietnam. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum where you can learn about the costumes and daily life of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. Then drop off at Hanoi Old Quarter for a walking tour to explore the diversified architecture of Hanoi and its famous 36 streets of the Old Quarter. Lunch at local restaurant. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. Overnight: Hanoi Meal: BB/LL/--
Day 03	Hanoi - Mai Chau Biking Morning departure from Hanoi for Mai Chau on a picturesque road through the valley. Lunch at local house. Arrive in Mai Chau and check in at a traditional stilt house of the Thai ethnic minority or at the Ecolodge. The afternoon will be devoted to light biking to the White Thai village in the surrounding area. The end of the day is free for discovering the local arts and crafts village. In the evening, enjoy your dinner and overnight in a Thai traditional house on stilts or Ecolodge. *Note: HCM Mausoleum is open every morning except Mondays and Fridays and is closed from September to December. Overnight: Mai Chau Meal: BB/LL/DD
Day 04	Mai Chau - Bao La trekking After enjoying breakfast, we then start our morning by a trekking trip around the village and area. This is a good opportunity to take all nice photos of buffalos and local people working on the fields. Return for lunch. After a short rest, be transferred to Bao La Village where you will start a light trekking. You will eventually reach the peaceful scene, meet with ethnic minorities people living in their traditional stilt houses. From there, you will be able to escape for walks on paths winding through the rice fields of this magnificent “green stadium”, and trek on the hillside. Dinner and overnight at the homestay-place/ the Ecolodge. Overnight: Mai Chau Meal: BB/LL/DD
Day 05	Hanoi - Hong Kong After having breakfast in homestay/ hotel, transfer back to Hanoi on a picturesque road through mountains and valleys, a journey of about 4 hours. Go back to Hongkong. Meal: BB/--/--
